About the role
A remote technical support role on Smartling's Professional Services team, maintaining and troubleshooting customer web-proxy integrations. It requires hands-on HTTP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript and REST API troubleshooting skills and is open only to candidates based in the US Pacific and Mountain time zones.
What you'll do
- Own customer tickets end to end with root-cause explanations
- Run troubleshooting sessions and workshops with customer engineering teams
- Escalate and collaborate with Engineering using clear reproduction steps
- Build scripts and tooling for faster, safer diagnosis and configuration
- Make production configuration changes with testing and rollback planning
- Advise technical and business stakeholders on sustainable solutions
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role
- 2+ years hands-on with HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and REST APIs
- Strong browser DevTools and network debugging skills
- Knowledge of proxies, CDNs, web servers, DNS/TLS and caching
- Web security basics such as CSP, CORS, cookies and WAFs
- Comfort with regular expressions and scripting in JavaScript, Python or Bash
- Excellent written and spoken communication
