About the role
HP is hiring a LaserJet Field Support Technician to provide on-site technical support and customer service for HP LaserJet and DesignJet printers across Eastern Michigan. The role requires 50% travel, 3-5 years of related experience or a degree with less experience, and pays $24 to $32 per hour for US candidates only.
What you'll do
- Clarify customer needs and ensure they are met
- Handle customer-relation problems and escalate issues
- Provide software service and post-sales support
- Respond to service, product, technical, and customer-relations questions
- Travel up to 50% to support customers
What you'll need
- Vocational/Diploma/Associate Degree in a technical field with 3-5 years related experience, or a degree with less than 2 years experience
- Knowledge and experience supporting HP LaserJet, DesignJet, and PC products
- Thorough knowledge of organization and policies
- Basic project management, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to build and maintain customer and partner relationships
- Ability to perform under high-pressure situations
- 50% travel required
- US candidates only for stated pay range
