About the role
Technical support role helping developers resolve complex Postgres, Auth, Storage, Realtime, and Edge Functions issues in Japanese and English. It is fully remote and requires working Japan business hours, with deep PostgreSQL troubleshooting and customer-facing support duties.
What you'll do
- Resolve advanced customer issues across Postgres, Auth, RLS, Storage, Realtime, Edge Functions, and client libraries
- Provide consultative advice to advanced users
- Reproduce bugs and isolate root causes
- Escalate to engineering with solid repro steps
- Communicate with customers during high-impact situations
- Spot ticket patterns and recommend docs/tooling/product improvements
- Mentor junior team members
What you'll need
- Fluent bilingual Japanese/English
- Experience supporting technical products in Japanese with native speakers
- 6+ years in technical support, backend engineering, or SRE
- Deep PostgreSQL internals knowledge
- Strong SQL and query optimization
- Cloud hosting provider experience (AWS)
- Linux and terminal comfort
- Data migration troubleshooting/recovery
