About the role
Remote logistics operations and dispatch role supporting an asset-based trucking operation, coordinating company-owned trucks, drivers, loads, and shipments. It combines dispatch, Track & Trace, customer communication, and operational support on a Monday-Friday overnight US Central schedule.
What you'll do
- Dispatch and coordinate company-owned trucks and drivers
- Plan daily routes, schedules, pickups, and deliveries
- Assign loads to drivers and ensure timely execution
- Monitor active shipments and provide Track & Trace coverage
- Communicate with drivers about load status, ETAs, and delays
- Serve as customer point of contact for orders and shipment status
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with customers and warehouses
- Resolve shipment exceptions such as delays, missed appointments, damaged freight, or missing product
What you'll need
- 1+ years of experience in US logistics/transportation
- Hands-on experience in asset-based trucking
- Experience dispatching company-owned trucks and managing drivers
- Strong understanding of dispatch operations and load management
- Track & Trace and shipment monitoring experience
- Good English communication, written and verbal
- Experience with TMS or logistics software
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
