About the role
Full-time remote medical virtual assistant role scheduling and confirming patient appointments for a New York multi-specialty practice. It requires fluent Spanish and English plus hands-on eClinicalWorks experience, is open only to people in the Philippines, and pays $7/hour on US Eastern hours.
What you'll do
- Work through daily patient call lists and book appointments in advance
- Make high-volume outbound calls to patients in English and Spanish
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments in eClinicalWorks
- Call patients the day before visits to confirm attendance
- Keep accurate notes and records in the EMR
- Flag gaps in doctors' schedules to the clinic team
- Handle difficult, frustrated, or rude callers calmly and professionally
What you'll need
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (spoken and written)
- Hands-on experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW)
- Previous experience as a medical virtual assistant, medical receptionist, or patient scheduler for a US practice
- Experience with outbound calling or appointment setting
- Able to stay calm and persistent with rude or frustrated patients
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Familiar with US medical terminology
- Stable internet connection, quiet work space, and good headset
