Email Deliverability Specialist

Customer.io is hiring an Email Deliverability Specialist to join the deliverability program inside its Technical Support team, advising customers on inbox placement and diagnosing sending issues. The role is fully remote but only open to candidates located in the United States or Canada, and pays $102,000–$110,000 USD.

• Act as deliverability advisor on complex customer cases and lead customer calls
• Audit sender setup and monitor IP and domain reputation
• Diagnose blocklists, spam traps, and engagement drops using authentication and provider tools
• Work technical issues with Engineering and share trends with Product
• Identify acceptable use violations and hold compliance conversations with customers
• Coach CSMs and Support staff through training and documentation
• Improve processes, help content, and one-to-many resources

• 2-4 years of email deliverability experience at an ESP, B2B SaaS, or marketing automation platform
• Deep understanding of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI, SMTP, MTAs, DNS
• Proficiency with provider data feeds and third-party deliverability tools
• Working knowledge of email compliance and acceptable use standards
• Experience building processes, documentation, or training
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Located in the United States or Canada
