About the role
Remote contract audio/video interpreter for Soninke speakers who also speak French or Arabic, handling on-demand calls for limited-English-proficient clients. Requires fluency in English plus Soninke and French or Arabic, tech proficiency, and a quiet secure workspace; prior interpreting experience is preferred.
What you'll do
- Provide audio and video interpreting through a web-based platform
- Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
- Provide superior customer service
- Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct and confidentiality standards
- Follow policies, procedures, and industry best practices
What you'll need
- Full fluency in English and Soninke and French or Arabic
- Technology proficient with web-based platforms, email, and Microsoft Word
- Quiet, secure interpreting space free from outside noise
- 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
- Industry certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, Bridging the Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.)
