About the role
A remote call-center role verifying patient insurance benefits, coverage details and cost share, with data entry, prior authorizations and claims appeals. It pays $17.00/hour on a fixed Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:30 PM EST schedule, but you must live in the US and you must supply your own computer.
What you'll do
- Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility
- Review coverage, cost share, provider options and restrictions
- Contact insurance companies and document benefit details
- Assist with prior authorizations and claims appeals
- Complete accurate data entry and quality reviews
- Identify and escalate missing information or reimbursement issues
What you'll need
- High school diploma/GED required
- 2+ years related experience or a 2-year degree
- Healthcare, insurance, medical billing or customer service experience preferred
- Benefits verification experience strongly preferred
- Strong computer, communication, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word and Excel
- Must reside in the US
- Must provide your own computer (BYOD)
