About the role
A Sales Assistant role supporting sales reps with account coordination, order processing, pricing, and customer follow-up for a produce distributor. It requires prior sales support or customer service experience, fluent English, and availability during Central Time business hours, with produce-industry experience preferred.
What you'll do
- Support sales reps and account managers with daily account coordination
- Process and confirm customer orders and provide pricing and availability
- Prepare quotes and follow up with buyers on open opportunities
- Coordinate with logistics/shipping on order status and delivery issues
- Track open orders, backorders, and shipment schedules
- Maintain customer and pricing records in CRM/order system
- Support new customer account onboarding
- Respond to customer inquiries about products, orders, and account status
What you'll need
- Prior sales support, customer service, or order management experience
- Produce or fresh food distribution experience preferred
- Fluent English required, written and spoken
- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
- Able to work Central Time business hours
- Famous Software experience a plus
- Comfortable with CRM, order-entry, or ERP systems
- Detail-oriented and organized
